Super Sportster

The builder of this Sportster passed away. The plane is built very well. It is the 72" 90 size I believe. It is covered in Monokote and has never flown or has very little flight time. There is no evidence of fuel near the wing saddle or around the hinge lines on the tail. The plane has Futaba servos installed. The motor is an OS 1.20 FS (4-stroke). Apparently the builder was converting it to spark (run on regular gasoline). The engine has some slight Castor (brown) around the exhaust but otherwise looks clean with lots of compression. Comparing it to his other engines, it probably has test time on it only. The ignition system is in the process of being installed on the engine but it could be removed and restored back to regular glow with little effort. The engine is the original pumped version but also has an original back plate for no-pump operation. The engine is in the original box with the paperwork. With the exception of the extra no-pump back plate, what you see in these pictures is what you get. Buyer pays shipping cost. The plane is beautiful, a gem…good luck and happy bidding…!
